Helpful to include, if you have it

• What is due, and the date
• Which reporting regime, filing, or framework is involved
• What the data looks like today, honestly
• Whether a reporting platform is already in place
• Whether assurance or audit is in the picture

None of it is required. A one-line email is a fine place to start, and it is often the better way to begin if you are still working out what you need.

What happens next

A short call to understand the situation and the calendar. If the work is a fit, that is followed by a written scope with a defined deliverable, timeline, and fee, agreed before anything begins. If it is not a fit, you will get a straight answer and, where possible, a pointer toward what would be.

Common starting points

• A filing deadline with insufficient capacity behind it, covered under SEC reporting and XBRL
• A first-year sustainability disclosure under CSRD or California SB 253 and SB 261
• A Workiva environment that is underperforming or partly manual
• A departure or leave leaving a gap, covered under fractional reporting leadership
• A technical accounting position that needs documenting before an audit
